Education

I graduated with a degree in Psychology with a minor in Communication from Arizona State University. I am currently in the process of getting my teaching credential and masters degree from USC. I am finishing my last semester as a student teacher for 5th grade and Kindergarten at Wagon Wheel Elementary School. I will have my credential and masters degree in April 2016.

Experience

I have been a tutor since August 2015 but have been teaching since January 2015. I have taken all the exams to become a teacher with passing scores. I am also CPR, AED and First Aid certified. I have a recent background and fingerprint clearance. I also have over 10 weeks of student teaching in a classroom, with producing my own lesson plans and teaching them and gathering assessments.

Hobbies

I was a cheerleader for eight years and enjoy watching football and baseball. I love taking my dogs on hikes and taking them to the dog park. I love movies, especially Disney movies! I did have a Disneyland pass before it expired in October and enjoy going to Disneyland when I can. I believe learning can and should be fun and relatable to real world experiences so students find it enjoyable and relatable. I want to be teacher because I enjoy helping students learn and grow. I love seeing that spark when they figure out a complicated concept and seeing my students succeed.
